Bearded Fishermen Media
Welcome to Bearded Fishermen Media, part of the Bearded Fishermen Charity for mental health support and suicide prevention. We started our media project to help get people involved in getting out and giving them something fun an interesting to get involved in to help their wellbeing.
This project has grown to become a great media project involving both radio and tv shows, learning to produce and edit as well as host live and record shows for all forms of media like the radio, social media, Youtube, apple tv and Roko as well as on this website.
We have loads of different types of people getting involved and leaning the media side and we get some great shows ready to broadcast. Getting involved is easy just contact us.

Story
Our Story
We were founded in October 2019 by the side of a fishing lake in Ashby, by Rick Roberts & Mick Leyland, the reason being the loss of a fellow fishermen to suicide. This prompted us to start a support group as both Rick and Mick have been through similar experiences in life. what started out as just a simple support group has now grown into a great support network supporting mental health and suicide prevention. Since then, our activities have grown, prospered and expanded.
We are dedicated to provided support for all people to live a better life. Our donations are used to run our charity to give support to all those in need, without regard to their race, religion, or background. We strive to create a better mental health support network, and we thank all of you for helping us to achieve that.
Our Focus
We help people, families, and communities break the cycle of mental health and suicidal thoughts by being there and supporting people of all ages to achieve the best outcome for them. Working with different agencies and groups to help support people during the current mental health crisis.
Our Mission
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping adults, children, families, and communities across the country with support for mental health and mental wellbeing. We offer telephone, face to face and referral support to those that need it quickly.
Working with the NHS, Emergency services and with the mental health teams together to make things better when your mental health is being effected.
